Atlantic Seaboard

Atlantic Seaboard properties are the most sought after properties in the whole of South Africa.

Jan van Riebeeck planted his first vineyards and a vegetable garden during the late 1600′s to provide the crew of the Dutch East Indian Company with fresh food.

Atlantic Seaboard properties must be selected carefully.  Conditions as , for example, wind, winter rains and potential  landslide problems on slopes need to be taken into careful consideration when selecting properties.

Today that Greenpoint area shows a mix from apartments to exclusive mansions on the slopes of Signal Hill, where every day at noon the “Noon Gun” can be heard.

Rolling down to sea level, the sea front area from Sea Point was established. On the sea front huge apartments blocks were established, many of them in need of renovations. More higher up, residential homes were build, most of them with great views over the Bay, over Robbeneiland towards the Blauberg beaches.

Direction Waterfront the Mouillepoint area is almost fully build up with mostly modern apartment blocks, with great views over the Bay and the municipal park behind them where the new Cape Town soccer stadium is build.

The Waterfront is a market on its own. With one of the most beautiful redeveloped harbor areas in the world, the shopping center caters for all we need. Almost all international brands show their products to the Public. Living in one of the newly build apartment blocks is a class on its own. Close proximity to the numerous restaurants, top hotels like One&Only, Cape Grace and Table Bay hotel, make this a life style on its own.

In Fresnaye the attention is more on living against the Lions Head slopes with massive mansions being constructed with undisrupted views  over the Table Bay over Robbeneiland.

Clifton, famous about its 4 beaches, apartment blocks and mansions mixed on a small coastal stretch along the sea board.

In Camps Bay, the long sandy beach, as well the shopping center with a large number of restaurants and a super market are values to be reckoned of.

Historically all the suburbs on the Atlantic Ocean were not seen as an attractive area to live.

Though, Atlantic Seaboard properties have gained huge interest from the local, Gauteng and international markets since the ninety nineties ( after the 1994 first democratic elections) . It offers a variety of opportunities, from entry level apartments to R 100 million mansions.

Locations like Clifton, Bantry Bay, Fresnaye, Camps Bay and the Waterfront compete with top end destinations worldwide. A high percentage of foreign ownership confirms this situation.
