Marcel Hoogebeen sold his real estate agency in The Netherlands with 5 offices and 125 staff in 1996 and emigrated to South Africa. He got involved in the development industry and started with 11 apartments in Table View, followed by the hugely successful D'Urbanvale development in Durbanville ( 567 houses - 57 million investment), sale of large pockets of developable land in Big Bay, developing with 4 partners the 47 houses Nautilus security estate in Big Bay, developing offices and 17 apartment in the Victoria Beach complex in Hout Bay, purchasing and re-developing the " Spur/Wimpy" building on the Hout Bay beach front and various other activities including consultancy projects for a major construction firm.

Immo Invest now specialises in: consulting buyers and sellers in the higher end property market in the Cape Peninsula- managing 4 big commercial buildings in the Cape Town city center.

From 2014 Marcel started a new residential agency with his friend and partner Leon Buter, named "Marcel&Leon - Synergy in Developments" short as " Synergy in Developments". This company has successfully concluded the marketing and sales of various residential developments.

Currently we are selling a project with 108 houses in Kraaifontein, the balance of 27 houses and apartment in The Silhouette project in Burgundy Estate and the Mooiberge development in Paarl.

For 2018 a few extremely exiting mandates have been given, as an example: 454 erven/houses in a new upmarket security village in Paarl named Zanddrift Lifestyle Village; launch mid 2018 - 138 apartments in Durbanville; 27 townhouses in Kraaifontein.

Marcel is active in the Community. He was President of the Rotary Club of Waterfront, currently for the 2nd year President of the Rotary Club of Tygerberg and has been involved in various community related NGO’s as Chairperson over the years.
